Data Gateways is a Web3-native venture studio that grew out of the decentralised RPC project PORTERS.XYZ and focuses on fast, high-conviction experiments in Web3 onboarding and infrastructure. Its portfolio includes products like OnboardAI (a multilingual Telegram/WhatsApp guide into crypto) and POPCO (a governance toolkit for protocols and DAOs), helping ecosystems ship usable, human-centred crypto tools faster.
Designed and built the initial MVP for Web3 education
Developed an MVP app to teach users the basics of cryptocurrency and blockchain, including an AI-powered chatbot that answered beginner questions in plain language.
Turned an MVP bot into a full-fledged Telegram Mini App
After the MVP was funded, evolved the project from a simple bot with an AI agent into a full Telegram Mini App with Web3 quizzes, NFT minting and on-chain activity tracking on Polygon.
Implemented core Web3 functionality and user flows
After receiving the grant, developed an app that:
Secured grant funding based on the MVP demo
Presented the MVP to potential investors, clearly demonstrated the value of a guided Web3 onboarding experience and obtained funding for continued development.
Delivered a production-ready Telegram Mini App for Web3 onboarding
Shipped an integrated experience where users can learn, create a wallet, mint NFTs and explore their on-chain activity inside a single Telegram interface.
Laid the foundation for future ecosystem experiments
Built a reusable architecture (backend, smart-contract integration and Mini App shell) that Data Gateways can extend for new networks, experiments and user onboarding scenarios.
